Article: Utilizing Adsense with PageRank

Another hooh haah that has been going on in cyberspace is Google Adsense especially now that more and more Malaysian bloggers are receiving their first adsense cheques from the giant SEO. As you can see, I did not think twice before joining adsense, simply because everyone else does. You may call it peer pressure if you want but hey, I’m only human! It would be nice if my adsense revenue can cover the cost to maintain this site and maybe a bit more on the side for electricity and a better monitor. But so far, I haven’t been geting many ad clicks likely because the ads aren’t very strategic and noticable. I don’t like the idea of having adsense dominating the limelight on this site. After all, people come here for content and not ads. But then again, I have only been getting an average of one click per day and that’s really bad considering that this site has almost 100,000 hits every month. And since I am privileged to be given a PageRank 7, I should very well be utilizing it to the best of my benefit right? So what do you guys think? Should I revamp this site? Should I use bigger ads and place them more prominently? Should I ditch my goody-two-shoes for an I-love-google-adsense image?

Well.. being a PROBLOGGER won’t be that bad. After all, I’ll be earning an honest income and adwords subscribers owe me one for the extra sales. So what do you say? Pro or no pro?

Trust me Yvonne. It rawks! Check out LiewcF’s tips. Let the ads blend in. Make it more prominent. I also felt bad about it the first time. Now I don’t care. I put the max ads. I got USD150 in two months. Good luck! Oh ya, I will send the cheque to Eden when the Blogathon is over.

if you want to earn money from Adsense, let the adsense ads be the focus of your page. I know it is hard but that’s your decision.

I would suggest you to put adsense at the end of your post.

A revamp of my site boosted my revenue about 200%

The thing with people is their eyes get used to a page’s layout after some time and they get trained to ignore the ads.

A new layout with new ad positions will force them to retrain their eyes.

[...] I was reading some blogs today, and noticed that the “Related Posts” feature was actually quite handy. I found some related articles that I was actually interested in reading. With that in mind, I decided to add this feature to my blog. There are actually many options available for this type of task. That’s what’s so awesome about WordPress: there are so many plugins available. And though I haven’t yet tried, I’m sure that writing one is a cinch, too. Anyway, I chose one of the plugins and activated it. Setup took 2 seconds. But it wasn’t quite right. [...]
