Praise the lord! The Malaysian Ringgit is depegged against the U.S dollar and will be operated by managed float against other currencies.
Last check, USD1 is equivalent to RM3,7994. Will there be a surprise tomorrow morning?
I really hope so cuz my next surgery may very well be in Los Angeles again. Now, surgery can be cheaper! My hearing aid is also imported from US. teeheehee… Hmm.. let’s have a bet. I say… RM3.50!
Here’s a simple article for the lay-men
And they said that China’s exchange rate does not influence our MYR value? what happened to that?
And thanks Mr. Kiasi for reminding me. Our Google Adsense money had just shrunk! Not only that, even my PayPal Fund! *cry*
About Yvonne Foong
As a child, Yvonne Foong dreamed of growing up to help others. To achieve her ambition, she began studying to become a psychologist. But things changed when tumours were discovered in her body at the age of sixteen. She was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 2 -- a genetic illness with no cure.
Fighting for survival, Yvonne turned to fundraising and embarked on a medical odyssey to the United States. Her experiences since then have transformed her into a motivational speaker; inspiring hope, faith and strength.
Yvonne is currently working to establish A Celebration of Life, a charity foundation that provides NF patients in Malaysia with financial and logistical support. Visit
the foundation's website to learn more.
We could be hopeful of the RM later when we start investing more in China soon. Like what most US companies are doing now.
Malaysia Ringgit depegged, then my Google Adsense money will shrink? Argh…
