Article: Seeking Donations Through The Print Media
Since I’m soliciting donations from the public through my website, I think, I might as well be open about my plans. There’s nothing to hide and I don’t want to be accused of misusing the money people are giving me. As you can see over here, the amount of donation I got is still very far from what I need. But it’s enough for me to buy an air ticket to America. Thanks, folks!
A friend of mine from church, named Joanna, found out about my plight and decided to help me raise funds. Together with her is Yeeu Jen, also a fellow church goer. They will be assisting me in highlighting my plight on newspapers. I used to do all these things by myself, but now that I can barely hear, I’ve no choice but to rely on my friends. Joanna and Yeeu Jen have been very friendly and accomodating at church. I hope that their assistance would eventually strengthen our friendship bond.
My friend, Keisha, suggested that I have my surgery done in India. But the thing is, they’ve no experience in decompressing the auditory canal. Dr. Friedman is a neurotologist, so its safer with him. If anything goes wrong, he knows my ear well enough. Besides, he removed the same type of tumour that affected my right ear. I would very much prefer to stick with the same surgeon. 20 years after I have the decompression done, when its time for the tumour to go, I will opt for the Auditory Brainstem Implant, which also has to be done at the House Clinic. So you see, at the end of the day, there will be quite a history and having everything done at the same place make things a whole lot easier. Things like decompression, facial nerve preservation, and the brainstem implant are literally aliens to Malaysian doctors. So it would be great if I’m able to bring these skills and technologies back to Malaysia. I’m not a doctor, but I’ll do what I can.
That’s all about this case for now. Yeeu Jen will be contacting the papers on Monday. Let’s all say a prayer and hopefully, we will be able to meet the amount of money I need. Amen!

Great to hear that Yeeu Jeen and Joanna will be assisting you in raising the funds for your medical fees. It’s really good that your plight will be highlighted in the media soon. I will be here praying for you and I’ll keep my fingers crossed that everything will be fine soon for you.

BTW, just to make myself sound more in-the-know that I really am, do you know that Yeeu Jen (I didn’t know the first syllable was spelled that way) has a brother, Yeeu Ren also a lawyer? And his fiance (Ren’s, not Jen’s) is also a lawyer?
