Baldies in the blogosphere
November 10th, 2005 by Yvonne
Congratulations to Peter, Bryan, Sharizal, Devyne , and Jason Loh for the new and stunning looks! These folks are really a blast, shaving off their precious locks for charity. If we are to have a bloggers gathering now, they would steal the limelight with their reflector scalps!
Surfing their blogs brought me to realize that I did not mention in the book, about my experience of going bald. *gasp* dang… my story jumped straight onto post-operative traumas that I totally forgot about my bald head then. Lucky for me, my mother was not amused with my bald head. Otherwise, I would have to cringe at photographs that I rather forget. You see, guys with shiny scalps looks cool and macho, but it works the opposite for girls. Therefore, I say that Devyne was very brave! You go girl! Now she has to wear a headscarf to work.
Jason Loh complained about the cost of shaving his head, which was a meagre sum of RM10. Well, yes I can understand that shaving the head needs no special skills. But on another vein, the real cost of that shave was actually more than RM5,000! The money was, however, for the Hospice-At-Home programme, and not the barber. nyeh nyeh!
Okay, now, what’s next? Bloggers stripping for charity? - haha! If ever, please count me out.

Hey Yvonne,
Thank’s for dropping by my site and thanks for the mention too. Still cannot believe I’m bald! All for a good cause yes…
I feel for you when you were bald..in fact I do feel for alot of women who went bald. The stares I get!
Anyways, I didn’t know you were nominated for the AYA Awards, tried to vote but apparently votings are closed already…but I’ll be rooting for you in spirit.
Cheers!

Hi Dee,
No worries. Your moral support is good enough. So, is Malaysia especially cooling nowadays?

Heh, you got my name wrongly ler. Its Jason Lioh.
But thanks anyway.
I complained because at first the barber said RM9, then when I asked how much again, he said RM10. Bryan got it for RM7 leh~!
But for RM10 in exchange of RM5000, its definitely worth the price.

Bryan You’re gonna grow your hair and shave it for charity again, right?
Elena You know Shahrizal? Ok this is bad.. I’m left out.
Jason Whoops sorry for the mistake. I thought it was Peter’s typo. Well, in that sense, RM10 is too expensive. but now you know where to shave your head. LOL!
