Love, don’t leave me.

In Perhaps Love by Peter Chan, the antagonist, Sun Na said that the person who loves you most is always yourself.
Many well-known celebrities have given up their loved ones to pursue a dream. On the other hand, when a loved one doesn’t place as much importance in us as we wish they would, we’d find otherselves relying upon studies and career for assurance.
Relying upon studies and career give us a sense of self, making us feel that we are well-off on our own and we don’t need anyone to feel complete. It takes our minds off past hurts and resentments. It helps us escape depression.
Yet not many people have succeeded in numbing the pain of loss. At the end of the day, it is the heart that matters most, don’t you think? Whatever credibility or fame doesn’t measure up to filling that missing part in us.
But to the young ones, the world seems large and exciting, living little room for love. Then again, what is love when you don’t love yourself?

I know I wouldn’t go to the extent of saying I love myself. Reality is, I hate everything that I am, but I live with it.
I do love my ambitions and dreams although they seem somewhat far-fetched. But I will strive for them no matter what, even if it means losing the love of my life.
I think that is more or less why no girl ever wants to date me lol.

Jon aaaw… well I can pimp you anytime. Just give me the green light. Isn’t loving your passion an act of self-satisfaction/loving yourself?

Hey yvonne, I think I’ve misplaced my passion and my purpose. Well, whatever happenned, I just can’t find it anymore!!
But loving my passion/purpose/ambition does not necessarily mean I love my current self so much. I merely bear with my love-hate existence
