Article: Afraid of the dentist

Pelf says…

Both Amelia and Charmaine wanted to know the 1001 reasons why my Mum should NOT sign the dental consent form.. Now, I have to admit that the “1001 reasons” part was made up la, to make the sentence sound more dramatic but fact is, I cried and I begged Mum not to do it.

You see, when I was a small (pretty) kid, I was very afraid of pain (I am still very pretty and afraid of pain). I never told my Mum whenever one of my teeth was shaky because I knew she would pull it out by herself, like what my aunt used to do to my cousins. So as a result (because I have to hit the Publish button every 30 minutes), I had mal-aligned teeth.

So, whenever the dentist came to our school, the sight of the green-coloured form was enough to send me to the toilets every 2 minutes. I would be trembling and my eyes would be looking in all directions.. I remember I even lied to one of the dentists that my Mum would take me to a private dentist and that my Mum “did not allow any other dentist to treat me.” How absurd.
