I have been invited as keynote speaker for a conference on global issues scheduled to take place this Saturday in the main campus of Taylor’s University College, Subang Jaya. My 45 minutes speech that starts at 9:45am will set the tone for the rest of the conference. You are welcomed and even encouraged to attend the whole conference. There will be various student workshops and NGO workshops throughout the day. There is a very small fee to attend the entire conference. The money they raised by selling tickets will be redistributed and channeled to the numerous participating NGOs.

For those who just wish to come and support my speech at 9:45am to 10:30am, the conference can give you a special pass. Call or e-mail Lecturer Dan Layng for enquiries, ticket purchase or special pass request. daniel.layng@taylors.edu.my or +6-011-163-44152

My books and t-shirts will also be on sale outside Main Lecture Hall 1 from 10am t0 1pm. Come and buy something from the booth to support my surgery fundraising.

Yvonne Foong

As a child, Yvonne Foong dreamed of growing up to help others. To achieve her ambition, she began studying to become a psychologist. But things changed when tumours were discovered in her body at the age of sixteen. She was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 2 -- a genetic illness with no cure. Fighting for survival, Yvonne turned to fundraising and embarked on a medical odyssey to the United States. Her experiences since then have transformed her into a motivational speaker; inspiring hope, faith and strength. Yvonne is currently working to establish a humanitarian foundation that provides NF patients in Malaysia with financial and logistical support. Visit Works of Gratitude to learn more.
