Last Thursday on 23rd November 2017, I was given an opportunity to sell my books. A business award ceremony cum dinner held in Sunway Convention Centre by the SME Association of Malaysia. The friend of my squash coach MR. L kindly put me on the event. It was a long time since I participated in such functions to raise funds for my cause. So, it was a good experience.

Mr L thoughtfully hired a designer to make a standing banner with my ballet photograph to draw the crowd attention from far. He also asked the organizer staff to assist me and my volunteers throughout the event and he also personally came to us a few times to make sure that we were treated well.

Prior to the event, MR L also told him company staff to move thousands of copies of my books to his office where they meticulously stamped every copy with my bank account number and then wrap the books back into individual packages, before delivering them back to my house. They did this so that the buyer who wishes to contribute more after they read books. They may conveniently do so.

I am heartened by MR. L’s gesture and thoughtfulness. I am also heartened by the event organizer for including us. We managed to sell some copies of my book and collected MYR 1020 in total at this event for my upcoming surgery.

Thanks to MR.L and the event organizing committee for this courtesy.
